Practice News & Events

Dr. Davis and his staff love to have fun with their patients and the local community! If there is any excuse to hold a contest, decorate the office, or otherwise celebrate our patients, we will either find it or simply make one up, We genuinely care for our patients, their families, and our community, and wish to include in our practice all the positive support for them we can muster.

Below is a selection of our most recent and upcoming events. We want you to be able to participate in as many as you can, so take note!

Here at Dr. Davis’ office we are bringing the New Year with a sparkle! Throughout January and February Dr. Davis and his team will be nominating patients who have excellent oral hygiene. So remember to come to your appointment and dazzle us with your shining smile and healthy gums! The Nominees will be entered into a drawing for movie tickets or a GRAND PRIZE. The GRAND PRIZE winner will get to invite 5 friends to be picked up after school and treated to a movie!

Stay tuned...In March we will announce the winners of the Oral Hygiene Awards! Also March is teacher appreciation month.

 2009 Parent Appreciation Winners:

2009 Nintendo Wii Winner:

We like to mix it up throughout the year with our counting contests.

From June to September of 2009, we asked our patients to venture a guess at the amount of bouncing balls of various sizes that are stuffed into a jar. Three winners  received gift cards for a back-to-school shopping spree at Target.

The bouncing balls were then donated to our local Love in a Shoebox organization. This project coordinates with organizations throughout Sonoma County to provide local homeless and foster care children with Christmas shoeboxes filled with both practical and fun gifts. Love in a Shoebox operates largely on donations and volunteer services and is an amazing outlet for our community to give generously of time, heart and resources. If you would like to join Dr. Davis in getting involved with Love in a Shoebox in preparation for this holiday season, please feel free to call them at (707) 588-8878 or email SantasShoeboxes@SueCares.com. Contact them at www.loveinashoebox.com

We are an enthusiastically festive office. Most holidays – both major and minor – you can find our office decorated to match; for example, November and December will bring cider and cookies waiting for you in our reception area. Our goal is to use our creative powers to enthuse, entertain, and engage you as our patient or as a visitor to our office, so that your orthodontic experience might be as enjoyable as it is beneficial.

Community Events

Rancho Cotate High School Crab Feed
The evening of January 30, 2010 the Rancho Cotate High School Boosters recognized Dr. Davis for his years of support at their annual Crab Feed. He sat at the first ever President’s Table. Dr. Davis and his guests were pampered throughout the evening with an abundance of delicious food and outstanding service from two select students. These students just happen to be patients of Dr. Davis too!

Dr. Davis is pleased to sponsor many community events in the Cotati, Rohnert Park, and Santa Rosa areas. He is a loyal fan of the annual Rohnert Park Fishing Derby, an entirely community-sponsored event held in the spring for kids to try their hand at catching rainbow trout, bluegills, carp, large-mouth bass and other fish from Robert’s Lake. Dr. Davis also supports the Sonoma County Farm Bureau.

Dr. Davis stands behind sports leagues such as the Rohnert Park Girls’ Softball League, Rancho Cotati Little League, RP PeeWee Baseball and Cal Ripken Baseball. Past recipients of Dr. Davis’ sponsorship include soccer, football, swimming, and women’s softball leagues. He expresses his appreciation for educational and youth organizations as well, and is a proud contributor to the Cotati Rohnert Park Education Foundation, SCAYD (Sonoma Co. Adult and Youth Development), Rancho Cotate High School Top 20 student scholarships, RCHS Music Boosters, Creekside Middle School Pledgeathon, Mountain Shadows Middle School Expeditionary Learning, and the Boys and Girls Club of Rohnert Park. When it is possible – and it usually is! – the scholarship recipient at the RCHS Top 20 dinner is also a past or present patient of Dr. Davis.

Dr. Davis and his staff understand the diversity within and among each of our patients’ lives, and we are happy to support and participate with our patients in their individual endeavors and pursuits.

Dr. Davis’ personal philosophy is that the cycle of a flourishing, healthy community is only complete when the individual gives back to the community that has invested in and supported him or her. As such, it is an honor for Dr. Davis and his staff to devote their resources of time and heart to the surrounding Rohnert Park community.

Santa

Dr. Davis and his wife Karen hosted their annual local toy drive for children. All toys were donated to children in the Rohnert Park-Cotati area. Thanks to everyone who participated and made this year’s toy drive a huge success!
